SMART-S (startup founder)

SMART-S is a 2-year visa for founders of a certified Thai startup, with no separate work permit required. It needs a government certification and a seasoned deposit, and offers annual (not 90-day) immigration reporting.

Who it's for

Founders of a Thai-registered startup, no more than 2 years old, that is certified by a Thai government body (NIA/DEPA/NSTDA/BOI).

Requirements

• Your Thai-registered company must be certified by a Thai gov body (NIA/DEPA/NSTDA/BOI) and no more than 2 years old.
• Show ฿600,000 deposited for 3+ months (+฿180k per dependent).
• Health insurance.
• No separate work permit required; annual immigration reporting (not 90-day).
